Winter Is Coming, and what better way to welcome it than with a hat made by you. Learn how to make an alpaca hat that you can take home at the end of the class. You can embellish it with silk, silk gauze and other items to truly make it a work of art. As a bonus we will also make flowers that can be worn as a broach or added to your hat.
In this class I will lead you through all the steps from making the resist, laying out the fibre to the actual felting and blocking. We will also finish the hat by trimming the brim and adding the inner hat band.
This is a 2 day class so the hats can be totally dried and finished.
Things to bring for the class; a favorite broach, broken necklace chains, pendants, Large TOWEL, pen and paper. Instructions will be emailed to the students ahead of time so they can read and print out.
This is a fun class and what better way to welcome the cooler weather than spending a weekend amongst the alpacas and creating something unique.
